Every Fall, we set aside time to step away from the hurry of daily life and gather as women grounded in the Word of God. Join us this October to slow down, deepen friendships, make new ones,
and grow together in the Gospel.

This year, we will be studying Proverbs 31:25–26
as we consider what it means to truly live secure in Christ.
What would it look like to live with confidence in His wisdom instead of being ruled by fear?
To look toward the future with peace and lightheartedness rather than anxiety and dread?
In a world filled with noise and worry, that kind of life can feel distant—but in Christ, it is possible.

Retreat Teacher

As a Women’s Ministry, we’re especially grateful to have Abby—our own Women’s Ministry Director—serving as this year’s retreat speaker. Her love for God’s Word and for the women of Charis makes it especially meaningful to sit under her teaching during our time away together.

Abby graduated from Moody Bible Institute in 2007 with a degree in Communications and Bible and has spent the last 18 years serving in churches and Christian nonprofits. Originally from Bloomington-Normal, she moved away for a season before returning home, where she now lives with her husband, Brian, and their son. When she’s not serving at Charis, you’ll likely find her homeschooling, redecorating her home, or laughing with friends.

FAQs

  • We are headeding back to Sacre-Coeur Retreat Center.

    Friday October 9th -Saturday 10th

    Retreat will start at 7:30 pm and go till 4pm the next day. Check in between 6:00-7:30PM

    There is an option to come as soon as 2 pm to enjoy more solitude and the grounds on your own. This will be an added cost to cover your dinner.

    • We do not rough it. These are hotel style rooms with their own bathroom.

    • You have the option of a shared room (shared queen bed) or just by yourself.

    • There are fridges on every floor for mothers who need to pump and store breast milk.

    • There is a nice walking trail around the building for anyone who would like to run or walk

    • There are accessible rooms so please note that on your registration

  • Shared room (Shared bed and must have roommate before you register) $110

    Single Room
    $150

    Prices includes: Rooms, unlimited snacks and drinks and breakfast and lunch on Saturday

    Early Friday Add-on
    $30 (extra) includes dinner Friday evening.

  • Ladies 16 years of age and up as well as nursing infants.

    For minors, we’ll need one of the following:

    • Your mom to register and rooms with you, or

    • A signed letter of consent from your parent/guardian allowing you to attend on your own, with a designated adult guardian in charge during the retreat.

    You can use the following consent form.

    There is no childcare available.

  • We know you are adults and know what to pack but here are some items above normal weekend away type things.

    • Shampoo, conditioner and body wash (center doesn’t provided)

    • Bible, notebook and pen

    • Bonfire/S’more clothes (might get smokey)

    • Tennis shoes (nice grounds to walk or run)
