    Nick Rogers has served as the Lead Pastor at CHARIS since June of 2023. He brings 18 years of experience in pastoral ministry to his current role. Nick holds a Bachelors of Biblical Studies & Christian Ministry from LeTourneau University and a Masters in Leadership from Denver Seminary. Originally from North Texas, Nick is married to Analisa and is the father of four children. In his free time, he enjoys the hands-on work of home renovations, the quiet pursuit of collecting books, the excitement of traveling, and the solitude of running. He is also passionate about preaching God’s Word and watching it shape the people of God.

  • Kevin Kamm

    Associate Pastor of Formation

    Kevin serves as the Pastor of Formation at Charis, where he is passionate about guiding others in spiritual growth and cultivating gospel transformation. Prior to joining Charis, Kevin spent nearly a decade in campus ministry with Cru, shaping the lives of students through discipleship and evangelism. He holds a bachelor's degree in history and political science from Western Illinois University and is slowly pursuing a master’s degree at Covenant Theological Seminary in St. Louis. Kevin is married to Kelsey and together they are raising two energetic sons. When he’s not serving the church, you can find Kevin cheering on the St. Louis Cardinals at the ballpark or enjoying time in his vegetable garden

  • Abigail Morgan

    Kids and Youth Director

    Abigail Morgan has a B.A. in Environmental Studies from Austin College in Sherman, TX and is currently pursuing a M.A. of Theological Studies at Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary. She has served in church ministries since she was a child, but more recently had been involved with: kids, youth, college, and missions ministries part and then full-time since 2020. Abigail grew up in Fort Worth, Texas, and had been in Bloomington-Normal for 2 years. Her family is spread out all over the US, with her immediate family in California and Idaho. You can often find Abigail walking on the trails in town or at a local coffee shop, as those are two places she loves to be.

  • Craig Stimpert

    Oasis Community Outreach Director

    Craig earned a Master of Divinity from Grace Theological Seminary.  He served a pastorate in Michigan and as Director of Church Partnerships with Spread Truth Ministries, before becoming Associate Pastor at Charis.  In July of 2024, Craig became director of Oasis Community Outreach, in order to expand Charis’ footprint in our community.  He shepherds Oasis volunteers in providing food and clothing to neighbors in McLean county.  Craig grew up in El Paso, IL  and is married to his wife Lisa who serves alongside him as Associate Director of Oasis.  Together they have two children.  Craig is passionate about gardening and swimming, but concedes he’s a better swim dad than swimmer.  His favorite Bible verse is Hebrews 11:6.

    Lisa graduated from Southern Illinois University in 1990 with a Marketing and Management degree and from Illinois State University in 2000 with an Elementary Education degree. She has been a member of Charis almost from the beginning of Charis and has served in Charis Kids for the majority of her time at Charis.   Lisa grew up in Colfax, IL and married Craig in 2003 and is the proud of her two children. Lisa's new hobby is using her old sewing skills for making quilts. Her favorite

    Abby Larsen

    Women’s Ministry Director

    Abby graduated from Moody Bible Institute in 2007 with a Communications and Bible degree. She has served in many churches and Christian nonprofits for the last 18 years. Abby grew up in Bloomington-Normal moved away for 10 years but made her way back home where she lives with her husband Brian and son. When Abby isn't serving at Charis you can find her homeschooling, redecorating her house, or laughing with friends.
