What does "Charis" mean?

charis (pronounced "khar-iss", translated "grace")

Charis is the Greek form of the word, which we translate grace in English.  It's used throughout the Bible in describing God's story of loving, forgiving, and transforming people.  We believe God is still writing this story and we're part of it.

So, why "grace"?

Grace is at the heart of the good news Jesus has brought into our world.  By grace, He has purchased and won forgiveness, acceptance, meaning and the ability to change for all who put their faith in Him.
